Nannies
We provide well-trained, fully qualified professional candidates to our families. If you answer yes to the following questions, I invite you to join our network of superior caregivers.
1. Do you possess a warm, nurturing attitude toward children?
2. Are you a high school graduate? Do you have additional schooling?
3. Can you make a one-year commitment to a family, if you are interested in being a
permanent nanny?
4. Do you have extensive childcare experience, either as a nanny, au-pair, babysitter,
teacher, nurse, etc.?
5. Do you have verifiable childcare, business and educational references?
6. Do you possess a valid driver's license with a clean record?
7. Are you a non-smoker?
8. Are you a U.S. citizen or otherwise able to legally accept employment in the United
States?
9. Are you willing to authorize a criminal, motor vehicle and social security check and
verification?
10. Are you devoted to your role as a nurturing, loving and patient caregiver to other
people's children?
All Nanny Candidates Must:
1. Be at least 18 years of age
2. Have a high school diploma preferably with a year or two of college with some
course work in childhood education or experience in working or caring for children
3. Be prescreened via an intensive telephone interview
4. Participate in an extensive personal interview and complete our application form
5. Provide at least six references (three professional and three personal)
6. Have each individual reference checked and verified by Capitol City Nannies
7. Have all previous non-childcare employment and education verified by Capitol City
Nannies
8. Be trained in Infant and Child CPR, at the nanny's expense
9. Have a car and possess a clear and valid driver's license record
10. Make a one-year commitment to remain with a family (for permanent nanny
placements)
11. Pass a background check by a licensed private investigative firm (at the nanny's
expense), as a result of which the potential candidate must:
a. have no prior criminal record; and
b. possess a valid social security number
